The lobby's punkah and timber ceiling fans are the first things you'll notice when you arrive at The PortSea. From here the soothing sounds of cascading water falls and flowing lagoon pools will immediately draw you into holiday mode.

In essence, the carefree holiday environment at the PortSea revolves around water. There are three swimming pools - the large central lagoon pool features a swim-up pool bar, water slide, spas and waterfalls. The Four Mile Beach is only 150 metres away, perfect for an early morning walk along the beach.

There's also a fully equipped fitness studio and tennis court for the energetic, but if it's pampering you're after, try a signature massage from the PortSea Beauty & Body Salon onsite.

The PortSea is one of the most easily recognised resorts in Australia and it is frequently featured in advertising campaigns by the Stellla Hospitality Group. Most rooms were refurbished during the first half of 2007, and the property was subsequently upgraded to the upmarket Mantra brand (from BreakFree).

Mantra PortSea is the perfect resort accommodation choice for the whole family and offers guests a choice of hotel rooms, one bedroom studios and two bedroom studios.:

• Hotel Room - Available with 1 king (zip) or 2 singles. The hotels rooms feature air conditioning, ceiling fans, VCR, Austar (selected pay-tv channels), in-room safe, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities.
• One Bed Studio Garden / Lagoon - Available with 1 queen bed, the one bed studio rooms are popular because they feature a spa bath and private balcony as well as a kitchenette. Other features include air conditioning, ceiling fans, VCR, Austar (selected pay-tv channels), and an in-room safe. To guarantee a room with a view of our lagoon pool, additional fees apply.
• Two Bed Studio Apartment Garden / Lagoon - The two bedroom studio rooms offer the same features as the one bed studio, however are available with 1 queen + 1 king (zip) bed. To guarantee a room with a view of our lagoon pool, additional fees apply.

The PortSea is located in Davidson Street, about 150 metres from the Four Mile Beach.
